With an unwavering commitment to the cause, Josh has played a pivotal role in establishing the organization as a beacon of hope for those deserving of Purple Heart recognition. His leadership extends beyond mere acknowledgment, however, as he passionately drives the foundation's initiative to facilitate intranasal stem cell transplants, offering a groundbreaking path to recovery for TBI sufferers. Josh's tireless efforts and strategic vision within the non-profit sector have positioned the Blastology Foundation as a driving force in the pursuit of both recognition and recovery for those who have bravely served our nation.
Alyssa Kreps
FOUNDING DIRECTOR
Alyssa Kreps is one of the Founding Directors for the Blastology Foundation, an organization at the forefront of addressing the unique needs of service members wounded in the Global War on Terror. With a profound commitment to the foundation's mission, Alyssa plays a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation of intranasal stem cell treatments, offering a revolutionary approach to treating traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Her tireless efforts extend beyond medical initiatives, as she meticulously ensures that those injured in service receive the rightful recognition through Purple Heart entitlements. Alyssa's unwavering dedication to the well-being of service members reflects her deep understanding of the profound impact of their sacrifices and positions her as a driving force behind the Blastology Foundation's transformative work at the intersection of medical innovation and military recognition.
John Klonowski
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
John brings his non-profit experience to the Blastology Foundation. A lifelong volunteer, John began working with the Special Olympics in New York. After his move to Aspen, Colorado in 1987, John worked with the Silver Lining Foundation whose mission was bringing outdoor recreational opportunities to young adults diagnosed with cancer. In 2006, John joined the team at Challenge Aspen and their mission of "creating possibilities for people with disabilities". In 2008, he became a development director with Challenge Aspen. In 2014, John became the director of a division within the Challenge Aspen organization called CAMO - Challenge Aspen Military Opportunities. John's is also motivated by his personal experience with suicide, and is currently writing a memoir based on that experience. John's experience with grants, development, administration, disabilities, and veterans dovetail perfectly with the work of the Blastology Foundation.
